What do you do when a dog you're sitting becomes aggressive?

A dog I am sitting becomes a little aggressive with me when I put my feet near him and when my puppy gets on his nerves. What should I do?

Use a baby gate to keep them separate, do everything separate, walking,feeding ect. Once we had a huge dog act up so bad I had to actually call their owner for an emergency pickup.
