Hi, LIza,

Your brother's puggle sounds adorable. Rover.com is an organization of sitters and I'm sure you/your brother could find someone happy to care for this sweet dog any time he is out of town. I have one customer who is gone nearly a week out of every month and her papillon considers our house her second home.

If your brother truly needs to place his pet in a new home you/he should contact a puggle-rescue organization. Here is a FB link to one; there is likely one somewhere in your area.

Good luck!

One thing to consider, is pugs and pug mixes are notorious for health problems. Ask any vet tech or vet, and they will likely tell you that pugs have more health problems than any other breed on average. A lot has to do with the the physiology. Pugs have sideways veins, constant problems with breathing and eyes, and a lot of other quirks. Just keep in mind that you may have to deal with some major vet bills, which can be the case with any breed, but pugs are in a different category than many dogs. I say this as a vet tech and aspiring vet, never an owner.
