What can be done about damages to our home while a sitter was here?

The reason we use rover 3-5 days a week is that our dog, who has seperation anxiety, is distructive to himself and property. We are sure to divulge to all our sitters in our meet and greets. Our sitter told me she took a nap on our back porch, meanwhile our dog ate some wooden blinds. The round about total damages is 150$, will rovers insurance cover this?

If your dog is that destructive even if not watched for a few moments, I would like to suggest in the future, to try having the sitter tether the dog to them. Also to use a crate anytime the sitter can't watch them. This includes if the sitter wants to take a nap or go use the restroom, or go do laundry, basically anytime they can't watch your dog 100% of the time. I'm not sure if rover will cover the damages, but going forward, these two methods will help avoid further damage to your home.

Our dog has never been destructive while accompanied by a person or another pet, this is a first. He has only been destructive when left completely alone, which is why we use your site. I was under the impression I was contacting Rover.

No, this is just a Q&A board of Rover sitters and Rover customers. Only Rover would be able to answer your question about insurance coverage; no one here is qualified. The telephone number is posted above.
