does anyone know anything about taxes? will we get a W2?

No, you will not receive a W-2 as you are not a Rover employee. You are an independent contractor. This is Rover's explanation of how things work:

But you should do a Search on this forum as members have provided a great deal of information about how they handle the requirements for estimated payments (as no taxes are withheld) and what you are able to deduct as business expenses.
