Why is it that Rover gives a list of available sitters based on our requested dates, but then all of them have plans during those dates?

It's incredibly frustrating because after contacting almost 10 sitters, we still haven't been able to find someone to watch our pup.

I often get requests for dates during which I'm already booked. Rover says that even though it does not fit my profile, they send the request anyway to see if I want to make an exception. I have three times now double booked because of this AND the fact that bookings are not listed in date order.

It also doesnt make availability by hours but rather entire days. You cant select per hour availability. So maybe 8-4 is unavailable but before and after is not.

I completely understand the frustration of contacting sitters who do not update their calendars. I’d suggest to contact rover staff directly at :[Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] to voice your dissatisfaction.

Supposedly, rover penalizes by listing them further down in future results, for being unavailable.
