Adopting a puppy but working full time?

Hi, I am currently looking at adopting a puppy blue staffy. My partner and I are both living in apartment building and not sure if it is cruel to have an 8 week old puppy to be left at home for about 6-7 hours a day monday through till friday. Really wanting a puppy to have but not sure if it is cruel to do that.

Thank you

You should get a dog sitter for the days that's will be long and find a local doggy daycare to spoil the crap out of that dog and make sure to socialize it with other doggies! Leaving him alone all day is not completely terrible, but it is a small sort of cruel, that can lead to aggression later on.

I would definitely try to set something up with a friend or pet sitter that can help you let him/her out during the day while you are at work.

Young pups need a potty break as their bladders cannot hold it for 6-7 hours. Find a local dog walker who can help

Doggy day care, friend, or pet sitter/walker to check on him few times a day.

I would recommend having a dog sitter or taking them to a doggy daycare. Especially because it’s impossible for a puppy to hold his P that long and you want to start house training him immediately after bringing him home
