Why wasn't my sitter paid the full amount that I paid Rover (minus the Rover fee)?

Hello,

I hired one of your sitters, Lauren M. from Westminster, CO. And she did a great job for us. My credit card was charged $154.08, but her net was only $115.08. The Rover fee was $28.80, so by my calculation, she should have received another $10.08. I would like the extra to be credited to her account immediately unless there is a legitimate explanation for the difference. Please let me know ASAP!

Thank you, Daunice and Ron Kennedy

Actually, the $115.08 is just the PENDING payment to her. You charged my credit card 2 weeks ago and haven't paid her anything yet! That is completely unacceptable!!!

If you'd really like to be helpful to Lauren, you should tell her that her rate table is set up wrong. The Holiday and Puppy rates are NOT additive. The way it currently stands, she will only be paid $24/night during holidays when her regular nightly rate is $40. Same with puppies. Totally wrong.

How lovely of you to speak on behalf of your sitter, but this isn't the place to contact Rover Customer Support staff. They do not come here. You have to contact them directly or your sitter should contact them to find out why she hasn't been paid or has questions about the amount.

Just FYI, Rover does charge customers a service fee directly, but they also take a percentage (usually 20%) of the gross amount from the booking. It is all explained here:

Also, you really should tell Lauren to read the Help topic. It would explain when funds are disbursed to sitters, i.e., 48 hours after the successful completion of a booking. Rover does charge you immediately. There is no relationship between when a booking is made and is paid out to a sitter. Surely you wouldn't want it to be paid out at the time of booking, before the job has been done.

Who answered this question so snarky? I'm pretty sure this answer sounds exactly like it came from Rover & not another sitter.
