Why is my dog pottying in his crate?

I would firstly check with your vet to make sure your dog doesn't have a urinary tract infection and to rule out any other possible illnesses or infections. Has this happened before or has it just started occurring? Have you moved recently or has anything in your home or around you changed? Even the smallest changes can affect your pup in more ways than you may think, even something as simple as the weather. I would definitely extend your pup's potty breaks for a longer period of time and maybe go out every hour or two to get him back on track and reward / praise him when he goes outside. Maybe try keeping his crate closed after meals so he doesn't have the opportunity to pee or poop inside of it. Hopefully it will be a quick and easy fix!

Also, if he can even slightly smell his own urine he will continue to pee in that spot, so make sure you are consistently cleaning the entire area to get rid of the scent. I use a spray bottle with vinegar after I clean up pee, which really bothers their nose and makes them not want to pee there again.
