How long is a typical house sitting stay? Do you charge the same amount if its 4 or 8 hours? Does it have to be overnight?

Rates vary by area. However, $25 is extremely low for house sitting, even if it only covered 7 pm to 7 am, unless you planned to charge a la carte for drop-ins and walks during the day. Also your rates for drop-ins and walks are hardly worth the time and effort of performing them. Take a look at what others are charging in your area.
