The holiday rate only applies to the first dog in a booking. Is there a way to set a second dog holiday rate instead of it just automatically going to the standard second dog rate that I set?

Can this be done so the client knows the pricing up front instead of having to adjust it after they have already looked at the price of the booking?

You can manually go in and adjust the price and have them reconfirm the booking

What I did is just adjusted additional dogs to the same price as my holiday rate temporarily.

I’ve lost many bookings due to adjusting the price. I’ve found just having it adjusted temporarily is the easiest for both parties.

I have submitted the same exact question! Unfortunately, I was referred to this forum where I came upon your exact question!

I wouldn't hold my breath expecting changes to programming functionality, which clearly is beyond control of sitters & walkers. I have to agree that once the client sees a price quoted by Rover, I'd hesitate to enter cost adjustments to the rate shown, even if one should otherwise apply for additional hours past 24 hour increment, 2nd holiday rate, etc. The reason why is the client receives a confusing, poorly titled notification that the sitter has rejected their booking, rather than presenting the modified booking amount, and it requires them to go through all the approval steps all over again.

You can change/bump up the additional dog through the holidays. Then change it back after the 1st. Of the year.

Holiday rates have only ever been applied to the first dog of the booking and I highly doubt it will change. If it were me I'd grab the extra rate on the 1st dog and leave the 2nd dog rate per the booking request. It's a quick way to alienate a new client by telling them you have to bump the rate after they have already seen it. But that's just me as many will say charge away

How I would handle this is manually bump up the second dog rate as soon as the holiday rate goes in effect or a day before it will be in effect. Then take the additional rate back down to normal the day after the holiday rate goes back to standard. I haven't seen a way to do the holiday rate automatically for the second dog

The problem with that is clients book for holidays in advance of the holidays so the bumped up second dog rate would be in effect during standard non holiday bookings.

Unfortunately, there is only 1 space for Additional Dog Rate, so if you want to charge more for additional dogs you would have to be after they reach out. :) Good luck!!
