You are considered an independent contractor, so you are responsible for all your taxes. Look at the IRS publication for Schedule C, which you will file to report your Rover earnings. There are lots of deductions you can take as an independent contractor - mileage to and from sitting assignments, supplies (if used only for your business), advertising, etc.

However, Rover doesn't automatically send you a 1099. I believe you have to meet a certain threshold for earnings before one is required from Rover.
