Is it ok to overlap my clients. Client 1 wants Tuesday thru Sunday. Client 2 wants Sunday thru Wednesday. Both clients dogs would be at my house on Sunday for 4 to 6 hours , Is that ok?

This situation happens frequently to many sitters and their isn't a problem to have an overlap. I would definately inform both clients and use caution when introducing both clients dogs to each other. Best of luck

It's okay if the clients agree to it. Some owners specifically request single-client sitters b/c they know their dog is iffy with other dogs/pets, etc. and they want to avoid anxiety and confrontation for their dogs. I know many of my clients' dogs don't like another dog in the house. So, no overlaps for them :)

Her clients do not have to agree. She is listed as accepting two dogs at a time. They should have no expectation that their dog will be the only one there.

Her profile states that she takes one client at a time. I have my settings the same as her, I can take up to 2 dogs from the same client, but only one client at a time. The reason many people choose single-client sitters is b/c their pet would not do well w/another animal in the household.

I didn't look all the way on the bottom, nor did she describe it in her profile. I only looked at the number below her calendar, which shows she accepts 2 dogs. I am aware that many sitters do the same as you, but she doesn't describe this exception anywhere.

True, I just guessed it b/c it seemed like something a single-client sitter might ask, and I confirmed it by checking her profile for that setting. I agree if she's a multi-client sitter there's no need to notify either client.

Since your profile states that you accept up to 2 dogs per night, then it isn't an issue at all. If you only took in one at a time, then it would be your obligation to inform both customers of the minor overlap. If these dogs do not know each other, then you absolutely must be there personally to supervise and, if necessary, keep them physically apart if you notice they are not getting along.

I typically only accept one dog at a time. However, during the holidays, I do take in more (up to 3) because they are regular clients and they all want to go away for the holidays. Since they are regulars, I know their personalities and whether they will get along. I do let every client know there will be more dogs than usual but no one has ever had a problem, given it is the holiday season. A 4 to 6 hour overlap isn't a big deal so long as you are present.

You definitely want to reach out to both clients and explain the situation, preferably before accepting the booking if you are listed as "only takes one client at a time". Sometimes people choose someone who only takes 1 client has a dog that does not get along with others. Trust me, even dealing with this for a few hours and having the ability to keep them separate is still stressful. Ideally you'd let the one that booked first that you have another booking request with a few hours of overlap and confirm that their dogs are good around other dogs. Then contact the other potential client and let them know of the overlap and confirm their dogs are good with others. If you already know that the dogs are good with others because you've seen them socialize then your messages to the clients can be more of a courtesy to let them know so they aren't surprised at the drop off or pick up that there are other dogs around. Good luck!
