How do I basically get started?

I'm trying to become a DogSitter and I'm very new to this site. I love dogs. Ive been having nothing but dogs since a child. And I wouldnt mind helping someone watch their dog. I have no problem traveling.

Welcome Nina! I, too, am fairly new to the site. In the first month, I've have 15 bookings. I find it helps to have a detailed description of you, your family (if you have others living with you), any pets you have, any experience you have and what a typical stay would look like for you. I also make sure to get as many badges as I can earn, and reply as quickly to any inquiries I receive. This is so that I can also get bumped higher in the search results = more viewings = more business. I am now fully booked for the next three weeks! Good luck with your Rover experiences!

Hi Nina. Welcome to Rover! I'm relatively new as well, but I've had consistent customers ever since I started in June. I'm not sure exactly what kind of information you're looking for, but I just created a detailed profile with lots of good photos of my home and myself and my dogs (I'm a dog hoster, not a dog sitter), and I have had lots of requests and repeat customers. I set my rate low since I'm new to the site and already have a primary income. Rover gives you the option to advertise as a dog sitter (aka you go to the owners' home) and/or a dog hoster (the dogs come to stay with you in your home), so feel free to set up your profile for both. When you click your profile and go to the Edit page, at the top, there's an option to "List More Services." This is where you can add dog sitting/dog hosting. I've really enjoyed Rover and find the site very user-friendly. Let me know if you have more specific questions!
