I want to sit but not overnight?

Should I not use this site or should I just specify that in my ad?

I do overnight sitting but don't always spend the night if I don't feel comfortable. I just explain to the owners that I can be over as early as they'd like and stay as late as they'd like at night but make sure they know I will not be sleeping there. I feel like most owners are okay with that. I mean maybe I have lost clients over that, I really don't know, but I do explain that very thoroughly in my profile. And even if I say I won't spend the night, sometimes when I meet them and go into their home I do feel very safe and comfortable so then I will often those services again. I just wouldn't do anything you aren't comfortable with.

Mylinda - you can definitely use Rover to promote daycare/dog walking services. Be sure to specify in your tagline (the line that shows up in the search results) what services you offer, and be very clear in the body of your profile what you do and do not provide. Rover is set up primarily for overnight stays, even though it can be used for just about any pet care service, so no matter how clear you are, you're probably going to get a fair number of requests for services you don't provide due to the wording on the site that you can't control. You'll have to set up your profile as a boarder, travel sitter, or both, depending on where you would like to watch dogs for daycare, so it's always going to appear at first glance that you provide overnight care.

If I were you, I'd pick a tagline like "Daycare, drop ins, and walks for your pets" (of course tweaked to represent what you want to do, and maybe something special about yourself), and then start the body of your profile with a specific list of everything you offer and a mention that you do not provide overnight care at this time. The first few lines are the most likely to be read by your potential clients, so put all that really important stuff there.

You can specify that in your profile.
