why am I getting requests from people outside my maximum distance I'll travel?

I have my "maximum distance I'll travel to get to a client's home" to 8 miles. I got a request from a client who is 14 miles away. I live in a busy city so that is pretty far. Unfortunately I agreed to take the booking before I looked at the client's location.

Why would Rover allow me to show up in that client's search results??

Same thing happens to me. Every single time.

This is all mute. The site should be designed so that if you as a walker have a specified range, and a anyone searching has specified at least their zip code, then your profile shouldn't populate the results. End of story.

It's a complete waste of time to go through that dance every time.

When I searched for walkers and drop-ins in Carver City you showed up on page 1 for both services and that's great but with such a high ranking you may be prone to getting clients beyond your service area. Best of luck

Just today that happened to me, but I got a note from Rover when I looked at the details saying they knew it was outside of my range but they thought I might want to take it. So I would double check my settings and make sure you always do meet and greet or don't accept until you have verified address. I am surprised that this has happened.

The client sees you are out of their radius, but obviously they really wanted to request your services so they did send you a request.
