So I got a dog sitting request and 2 of the days requested were for days I marked as unavailable on my calendar. How is that possible? I did let the owner know that I can't dog sit for them but I thought it was weird that they would be able to still request days the are marked unavailable.
I believe the system automatically displays a message that the sitter is not available on selected dates, but it still allows them to message you and doesn't count against you.
Rover may also send you requests even though your calendar shows as unavailable just in case you may be available for what the client is requesting without it affecting your search rates :) It's also a good opportunity to tell that person you are unavailable but to reach out in the future for other bookings.
