Why do some sitters charge extra for extended stays (such as 3+ nights)?

I don't understand why the price would go up after a certain number of nights. Trying to understand the rationale without having to ask the sitter directly.

This is how they run their own business, and I believe it's safe to say their business model works for them. Everyone is an independent contractor and everyone has different rules and standards.

All Rover sitters are independent contractors and make their own determination on what rate to charge, and what they consider an extended rate. Some sitters charge more for extended stays in your home as it is a big inconvenience to them, while many sitters discount rates for boarding. There isn't a set rule that everyone follows. Best of luck in finding the right sitter for you and your pets.
