As a sitter, Can I choose to not use paypal and getting a check from rovers to get paid?

I don't have a paypal account and check takes way too long to get to my mail. It is not convenient for me to get paid through paypal and check. Is it okay to ask for cash from my customer rather than being paid online? Will it affect anything on my Rover account?

That would be a violation of the Terms of Service and it will affect your account with Rover (suspension and/or termination)

Why does it take so long to get a check and $2 taken off the check? Is it okay if I use both payment methods (paypal & check)? How would that work?

Amy, your best bet would be to make a Paypal account. They are free, and you can directly transfer your funds to your bank account, without any money being taken out.
