Red dot next to rover number?

What does that neccessarily mean? I accepted to watch a guys dogs and then after getting the dogs (I'm pretty sure I hit book now), it went from green to red. Then I asked him about it and he said "I prefer to directly pay you"... I feel like I messed up and this is my first booking (his as well so we were both like confused) and I didn't even do it correctly so now I feel like the guy is dumping his dogs on me and never coming back (or I'm being extremely paranoid). He just seems to be short with me via text (I have his actual number aside from the Rover one) and kind of has an attitude if I have any questions reguarding his dogs. (Please no hate, it was last minute and I got so confused).

Great questions. If you ever think something may not be working properly give Rover customer support a call. I let them know about this and they are looking into the issue.

It's definitely not a scam, the number is to protect the privacy of both parties involved so they don't have your personal number until you either give it to them, or you book a stay.

Yes -- I attempted to contact an owner by calling their Rover number yesterday, but the call would not connect. I had to have them send me their actualy number in order to get in contact with them.

I keep getting request….just got another one and they do not answer then all the sudden the call is dropped…something strange is going on….

I just noticed that too. Funny thing is….this last week i have been getting a lot of inquiry's that don't follow through. So this morning I decided to start calling the numbers that are texting me to babysit and none of them are going through. Is anybody have the same problem? appears to be some type of scam….. no exaggeration I have had 5-6 people text me in the last few days and not one of them have followed through.
