What happens if dog starts vomiting after I watched it?

I watched a dog Saturday and Sunday at their home and early Monday they said the dog vomited what they think looks like parts of a tennis ball or a shoe. I replied that I knew for a fact the dog didn't eat any shoes or tennis balls while I was there (iit was caged when I wasn't there , and it was more of a go let put and feed the dog kinda client) so the dog wasn't outside the crate very much. So, then they said the dog was fine. But I just got a message that there are taking it to the vet. So what should I do next ?

This is where your customer service skills will get a workout. Show your concern. Check in with your clients to see how the dog is doing. Do not try to defend yourself until they make an accusation. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

This is the type of thing that Rover's insurance covers. Do contact Rover Support to let them know and find out the procedures your client should follow just in case they request you pay for the vet visit. At this point, it has nothing to do with culpability or pointing fingers. The client felt his dog needed to be checked out by the vet and Rover should be able to handle the claim.
