How do I add a new city to my profile so I get bookings lined up for after my big move?

I'll be moving from Ontario to BC this summer, and it would really help me get established if I could line up some bookings over the summer in my new city. Is there a way to do that without deleting the city I am in from my profile? I could set up a new profile for the new city, and make it unavailable till after the move date, but I'd rather keep it all on one profile. So, in Ottawa until July 1, in new city as of July 2nd, that sort of thing?

As Karen has mentioned you can only have one location stored in your profile at one time Good luck in your new city!

Oh well, it was worth a try. Maybe they'll add a feature for "future location as of X date" at some point in the future.

I agree that this would be an excellent feature as the next 4 years of my life will involve lots of locations and it would be great to set up my calendar to reflect when I will be where.

This would be helpful for me as well, I'm moving around the same time frame. I wI'll be able to keep most of my clients because my school is near where I live now but I am moving to a city where it'll add 30+ minutes to my drive to my current clients. I don't mind but I do wish they had that feature so I could also start setting up a foundation. I would be able to drive for a m&g as well. Maybe a feature that would be like you contact rover, you tell them you're moving and they would be somehow able to list you in that city search as coming soon "date", so people can start contacting you.

You can only have one location at a time. You could call Rover Customer Support to discuss, but will you be available to do M&Gs with your potential new clients before your actual move? Since you only provide services where you have to enter a customer's home, I tend to think those aren't done blindly or solely relying on Rover since Rover provides no assurances/guarantees of anything.

I only get a M&G with about two-thirds of my clients, actually, and fewer in BC for whatever cultural reason. They always involve sending references, etc, but if I could get the city changed after a certain date, I could get work, guaranteed.

My, oh, my! Those people are very trusting and obviously haven't read Rover's TOS! You can change the location by yourself anytime. Go into Profile.

Try posting on the Craigslist or NextDoor site for your new location, with a link to your Rover profile, making it clear of effective date for BC.
