Is there a way to add additional animals besides dogs to the profile?

I have a cat and a dog and when I asked a potential sitter to watch the cat as well, she doubled the price, even though the cat only requires feeding, which can be done while she was here for the dog. She called me out saying I needed to post it on the site so the sitters know what they are getting into. I included it in my message to her introducing my dog, but is there a way to add it to this site? I've searched but could only find add another dog. Thanks!

Hi Julie, It's too bad that contact did not result in a match. I tested out adding a cat to my profile. You choose to add a dog, then under Breed "Cat" is listed (not sure if the dogs & cats would agree with cat being a breed of dog -LOL). I think it's helpful that you included it in your message. If you're still searching for a sitter, I'd suggest you look for Cat Care listed on the services page to avoid any unwelcome surprises. This link shows how to filter by type of pet: https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar... I'd suggest reviewing the Additional Rates & Services, which will also list prices for care of all your pets that the sitter provides. This link shows that: https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar... Of course, Rover support can help you if you need it, just email or call the toll free number.

I'm sure many pet sitters here are open to caring for additional animals. However, the situation needs to be discussed prior to booking a stay and as an owner it is your responsibility to make sure the sitter knows exactly what and how many animals they will be taking care of. As an owner, you are paying for the sitter's time, regardless of how many animals are involved, and when there are additional animals, there is additional burden placed on the sitter to ensure that all animals are fed and taken care of. Each sitter sets rates depending on their personal goals and situation, there is not a set rate for everyone, and rates and responsibilities should be discussed fully before making a decision to book a sitter.

Of course, but the poster did include it in her message -- which I hope sitters are reading thoroughly as it includes important details. Double the price to feed a cat seems pretty ridiculous.
