Does Rover do any type of background check on their sitters?

It is elective, not automatically done for all sitters by Rover nor required. Sitters can pay for a background check to be done and their listings will have a badge with a check mark on it.
Yes... You can look on a sitters profile to see if the sitter has chosen to have a back ground check done.
