Do any sitters do year long boarding?

My husband and I are moving to China, and need to find a home for our pooches for a year or two, until we return to the states. Are there sitters that will take our dogs for that long? And if so, how do I locate them? Is there a specific part of the site for this kind of long term boarding?

Thanks!

Military face this issue as well. But most who don't have a trusted friend or family to sit for expenses only aren't able/willing to pay boarding over so much time. If a client really needed/wanted, I'd consider it... but would be very surprised. Best thing to do is ask, and be realistic about cost.

Just my opinion but its highly unlikely you can find a sitter who will provide care for that length of time. Even at $30 per day for both dogs, including Rover fees your cost would be close to $12K. And don't forget the cost of food and vet visits. You should try to rehome the dogs with family or friends

Keep searching. I’m in Florida and would be open to it. There’s just the fees associated because of food, veterinarian visits with shots and check ups, and any other financial needs of the dog and then payment for the service. It would be expensive but there are ways for sitters to give custom quotes and if someone would work with you and you love your dogs and want to keep them, I’d say don’t give up. Good luck in your search!
