How do you handle a last minute drop in request?

I got a request today at 11 am to do one drop in visit a day for four days. One of the problems I had was that she wanted me to stay with her dogs from 10 am to 10 pm but only requested 1 drop in visit per day. Another problem I had was that she has two dogs. One of them is a 7 month old puppy that is very active but she didn't add him to her profile so I don't get any extra money for watching him. How would you handle a situation like this?

Comments

In the future I would be very upfront with the owner, of what drop in visits in tells and that all the dogs that are in need or care, need to have profiles on Rover.

1) you should instruct the client to update their profile with the correct number of dogs so they are covered by the Rover insurance, this article describes how to add another dog, and also shows you how to add another dog to the booking https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar...

2) you should also adjust the booking rate to account for the time the clients wants you to stay with their pups, I may consider doing it for a boarding rate or more since you are away from your home.

3) clients can be cheap and want you for 12 hours but pay for a 30 minute visit. Charge them a fair rate to account for you time.
