Dogs may roll in animal poop to mask their own scent. But, it could be their version of Perfume/Cologne and they like the way they smell. Do you wear perfume/cologne? It could be to mask your scent! :-)

I had a dog that did this. It was gross. What I learned is that this is the way a roaming dog/wolf could communicate to the pack. Since they can't speak to each other, bringing back a scent is a way to say "Hey guys, there's another dog (or cat or squirrel) around".

Dogs love cat's poop. They love to roll around on them! I don't think its a bad thing, just animal's behavior. As long as you just make sure to clean them off completely right away when getting home!
