When you are dog sitting for multiple days, do you charge both a day rate and an overnight rate?

Are there a specific number of hours for overnight? Or does it include a full 24 hours of sitting? Or do you charge a day rate and an overnight rate? Thanks

For both boarding and house sitting, Rover considers a stay to be 24 hours. So you would charge either your boarding rate or your house sitting rate and not add a day rate. I'm not even sure what a day rate is.

The amount of time covered by the sitter’s rate depends on the service being offered: Dog Boarding and House Sitting are both per night, up to 24 hours. Dog Walking is per 30-minute walk. Drop-In Visits are per 30-minute visit. Doggy Day Care is per day, dropping off around 7-9am and picking up around 4-6pm.

Rover offers sitters and pet parents the flexibility to customize their experience. So while these are our recommended guidelines, you and your sitter or dog walker may agree on something different depending on the situation. It’s all about what’s best for you and your dog.
