How do I find out about dog friendly businesses in my area (Seattle, WA)?

I know of some restaurants, cafes, and businesses that are dog friendly, but I need to piece together information from various sources. I'd love to take my dog with me everywhere, but if I don't know if it's dog friendly, I don't bring him.

I would simply do a search and see if anything comes up. Is Seattle known to have many places where you can bring your pet. Not a common thing here in Kansas City aside from registered service dogs.
