Why does my dog twitch in her sleep?

Animal experts believe that dog's sleep and dream very similarly to us humans - including deep REM cycles. Twitching, breathing heavily, or quickly moving paws are all signs that your pup is in a deep slumber :). He/she could even be dreaming of chasing a bunny!
