What is a Rover balance

What is a rover balance and why do I have a balance of -$49.95 when I have not booked my dog to be sat for and I have not paid for any services. I have no idea why I am being billed this money.

It sounds like ou may have signed up for the Protection Plan, that is 49.95. Normally you sign up for that when doing up your profile. Just call customer service, and I'm sure they'll straighten it out of you did not mean to sign up for it.

Hi Chad, You may want to contact Rover support at 1-[Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team].

Payment is processed when the stay is booked and shows as a Rover balance until after the stay ends. Then, the sitter can then choose to receive a check, redeem it through PayPal, or use in the form of Rover Bucks when a sitter is needed for their own pets.

Since you didn't book a stay, is it possible you placed an order for items at the Rover store?
