Can we find out what breed our dog is without the expensive bloodtest?

We rescued our dog and he just turned 1. He is a Husky mix and such an awesome dog. He also looks like a baby deer and weighs about 100lbs. He's so sweet though. We want to know what he is mixed with, but do not want to have to pay $80 for a bloodtest. Is there another way?

I can give you a good guess on what he may be, just send me a picture. Otherwise your best bet is a Wisdom panel, however if your dog has any PB in him it will not show up as they are not a certified breed through the AKC, and if he has any European bloodlines they will now show up either without running a European Wisdom Panel. (Europe's canine bloodlines are different than American for some reason.)

I found that according to pets.webmd.com, you can take a swab sample for a bit cheaper now, about $60+. More can be read at http://pets.webmd.com/dogs/features/d.... Some labs that I saw around $60 are BioPetBreed, DDC Veterinary.

Probably not. The Wisdom Panel DNA dog breed kit is $63.99 on Amazon as of right now. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keyw...sl2aue6qqzws_p
