Balance question

Do I request the balance before the sitter comes or after? I have balance in my account but I am not sure when I should request payment.

Hi Robin, you can't redeem your funds until 48 hours after the dog goes home. You asked about requesting the balance before or after the SITTER comes over--did you mean to say owner? If you are not a sitter, you can't redeem the funds in your balance, they would just be there as a credit to use towards services.

Hi Amber, this is from Dawn Schrader. Why do we have to wait 48 hours to get to our account? I've always wondered that myself.

The holding period gives both the sitter and client time to contact Rover should any changes need to be made to the stay (such as changing the rate or dates of service) or to resolve any disputes. Having the client pay when services or booked, but not releasing the funds to the sitter until after the services are rendered protects both parties.

"Thankyou that was helpful ".

Hi Dawn, you can always access your account, but they don't release the funds until 48 hours after the stay has ended. Laura explained why very well!

This is the intake eval: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1CEXfKQO7p9PWnQSuLKj9uiow9Ghd-9DJ4a1SKazUi7Y/viewform?usp=send_form I created it through Google Drive - each time someone fills it out and submits, it sends me a notification and adds their answers to a spreadsheet that I can reference, so that I have all the critical info for (nearly) all of our clients.

If you want to do something like this, you'll have to create a new document; feel free to use the questions I do if those are important to you (though I'd encourage you to customize it to emphasize what is most important to you and your guests), just don't use this exact document. It only sends answers to me. I've shared the link here before and someone started sending my form to their clients, which helps no one. :)
