Why does my dog poop and pee in the house?

Every dog is different and all need training but when it comes to going potty in the house it is important to recognize your dogs behavior, maybe keep a designated potty pad even taking them out every hour and half, two hours. Treats always motivate your pup if all else fails!

Different dogs have different metabolisms. For instance, my lab mix will come up and whine at me every few hours if she needs to use the bathroom but my puggle doesn't let anyone know she has to use the bathroom and will just find a place to go. We started remembering to take my puggle out every half hour to use the bathroom to avoid having accidents in the house. Some dogs let you know when they have to go out, others don't and you just have to ask yourself when the last time she was out was. Also, I noticed that my puggle will walk in circles when she's about to use the bathroom. Hope that helps

There are many possibilities. Your dog may not have a way of communicating to you that they need to go outside. So you may be unaware of the signs that they need to be let out. Your dog may not be able hold it as long as you think. They may have a fast metabolism, small bladder

It is important to keep your dog on a schedule, such as after they eat, 30 minutes later walk them. I also find that a lot of my clients leave large bowls of water out. Look up your pets size online and see how much water they need a day because they may have access to more than they need and if it is a free for all and not scheduled they may need to pee more frequently than normal. Also look at how they were trained, it may be that you should start the training over. Put out pee pads, reward them for peeing outside, etc!
