Has anyone else had the rover app almost completely deplete the battery?

My phone was at 90% starting a walk, and 15 minutes in it was dead. I have an external battery I can bring but I was surprised it drained it that much. Any similar problems or is it just me??

It is NOT just you. I have had the same experience and actually logged on here to see if people have a problem with how slow the app is??

I’m dealing with the same problem right now. I can’t complete a 60 min walk with the card active and have a fully charged iPone 6S battery survive. Note my phone battery has a battery life of 87% when fully charged.

The Rover App is a known battery killer especially if you are using the Rover cards. Shortly after they introduced the cards I ditched my old iPhone and got a new one, better but the battery drains quickly. I charge my phone between clients and walks

I had to delete the phone app :-( No other app was such an energy drainer.

Are you able to to keep walking dogs without the APP. I thought I read you needed to used the APP to monitor your walks?

Is it a Samsung Galaxy? They are notorious for weakening battery life with each new release to get you to upgrade (others do it as well). I have a Galaxy note and carry an external battery to use for Rover Drop-Ins. Whenever I turn on GPS, it's like it triples the battery expenditure. :(

I have an iPhone, which updated recently oh nooooo. Ok that makes sense, I guess I'll use my external battery for the rest of my drop-ins. Thanks!!
