Why is Rover asking for me to complete a profile? I'm just looking for a sitter. I don't want to sit for others pets.

On the dashboard when I fill out details for my pets, it wants my details and looks like I'm completing that information so people can request that I sit for them.

Hi Kathy, it looks like at some point you may have clicked on the 'Become a sitter' link. If you are only using Rover to find a sitter, you can simply ignore the prompts, or send an email to support@rover.com to have them assist you in removing the prompts. Hope this helps!

Actually, It may just always give both options so you may just need to not "offer" any services. Pet sitters sometimes need someone to care for their pets as well during vacations or emergencies and therefore would need both options available on their profiles. A pet parent may decide later that they want to be a sitter as well. You are not forced to provide services, you're being given the option if you so choose to. Also, a sitter you request usually wants to know a little about you and your pets before accepting a stay and a profile is a good way to start.
