What Does the Fee Include?

Becky, as a sitter this fee covers a 24 hour period. I have a 4 hour grace period. After the 4 hour period, I charge a half day rate. For example if drop off is at 8am, then pick up can be as early as agreed upon but as late as noon (without paying any additional fees). I really think it varies a little from sitter to sitter. I recommend finding a Rover sitter who best accommodates your needs and requests.

This rate (for me) covers a 24 hour period or any overnight stay. So if you drop off at 6 pm but pick up at 9 am it's still the same rate as a 24 hour period.

Hi Becky, it also is a 24 hr period. Most of my customers are repeats and a lot of times pick up earlier than the 24 hr so if they have to pick up a few hours later, I don't charge them extra. Sometime a customer will just tip me if I don't charge a "late" pick up. You may want to take each client according their situation. If they just use you for annual vacations you may want to let them know before or at the time of dropping off. Also if the client is "always picking up late. But if they are repeats, give you and your time respect and don't take advantage, you may want to just work with them. Just my suggestion but do what is comfortable for you.

Becky, As a traveling sitter who comes to your home to care for your pets, I charge a daycare fee of $25 if the client needs me to stay past noon on the last day of the stay. Due to the fact we are paid nightly, I instituted the daycare fee in case my clients need me to stay past noon so I can ensure the pets in my care are taken care of until the owners arrive home.
