Do you stand behind the sitters that don't get paid by the dog owner?

How would you resolve or compensate a sitter that does not get paid?

If you make sure to complete the booking Before the dog arrives, the money will be available the day after stay is complete. You need to do the Booking several days before the stay. Owner has 72 hours to book and pay. Rover keeps the money until stay is over. What happened? ? Good luck. Sue

As Sue C. said, all payments should be made through rover.com prior to the stay if you made the booking through the website. The client pays for the stay before the actual dropoff date. The client pays rover.com, then rover.com pays you after the stay is complete.

If you made the booking outside the rover.com website, they are not responsible for anything, unfortunately.

Hi Rebekah,

If you are having any trouble getting the owner to pay through Rover, give customer support a call. They can reach out to the owner and offer assistance. Keep in mind booking/payment outside of Rover is against their terms of service so you will want to make sure to use Rover for payment as they also offer coverage for all stays booked through Rover.
