Are in of your sitters comfortable or experienced in giving injections , twice a day .

My 12 year old Coton, was diagnosed with diabetes two months ago. He is doing well . However, I need to find someone who can watch him while I am out of town plus give him his insulin shots twice a day. He is a small dog, weighs 17 lbs and I have also have another dog ( weighs 10 lb) who has no health issues.

Catherine,

I don't know where you are located, but the ability to give injections will be highlighted at the beginning of a profile--a recap of skills. Often there are vet techs registered with Rover and if you go through the listings in your area you should have no difficulty finding a person who can meet your dog's special needs.

If a sitter is not comfortable then it won't be on their profile as an option. Under special needs it specifically asks seperately about oral medication and injections. So be sure to look for injections not just medication
