Do reviews boost your ratings? Because I can't get people to do it!?

I have two repeat customers, which have been ongoing for a bit now and I can't get either of the to write me a review. They keep promising that they will but it doesn't happen. Can I offer a $5 discount or something if they leave me a review before their next booking?

Do the reviews help my ranking? Because if so, I'll try to entice them in any way to actually do it. They both are happy repeat customers, so I'm thinking it's just taking the time to write it that's holding them back.

I personal send a TY note and include my Rover Business card. I ask them to please leave feedback if they haven't already and pass my card along to a friend!

Interesting question. We've been having similar experience mainly with Rover customers. Do not have this issue with DogVacay pet parents (they leave reviews at a 85-90%, while merely 40% or less on Rover. Coincidence?

At time of pickup I ask the owner if they could please leave a review. If a few days have passed and no review I will send them a message like hi I hope you was satisfied with (dogs name) care . Could you please leave a review on Rover it is much appreciated and also helps in my ratings thank you. I usually don't have a problem with people leaving reviews

It is my understanding that reviews do help a lot in you ratings. Here is what I do. I type a page of comments about the stay and bring up mostly the good things their dog did and perhaps a couple of things that weren't so good. In the last paragraph I tell them that Rover with ask them for a review of how the sit was and that I would really be appreciative of the best written review they could possibly give me. This has worked for me.
