I'm changing my answer a little - looking at my own profile, it looks easy to simply delete the parts that reference my own pets. Are you indicating Rover said you aren't allowed to do that? If so, you may want to call them directly. I don't understand why they would want your profile to reflect a pet you no longer have.

They don't want anything negative in my profile.

OK that makes no sense. How does Rover justify saying the passing of your pet reflects negatively in your Profile?

Sorry about your loss. Based on what you wrote, maybe this will work? I've loved and cared for dogs my whole life. I am very comfortable with all sizes and breeds. My husband and I live within walking distance to a beautiful wooded park, lake and forest for your dog to explore. I even volunteered with a "pet therapist" dog to bring companionship and joy to residents at an assisted living facility, I've helped family and friends with their dogs in my condo. And I think you might consider deleting his profile (after you save anything that you may want after it's no longer publicly available) If discussed later, you can always speak affectionately about him being one of your loved dogs.
