I Would like to know how you manage things like this one, when someone ask you for a dog boarding from 8 am of a day to 6:30 pm the day after?

She told me to bring her dog from 8 am, stay with her dog all day and also during the night, until the day after till 6:00 pm. It would be two day care and 1 dog boarding?

it would be one night of dog boarding (8 am to 8 am the following day) and one daycare charge (8 am to 6 pm)

If I understand correctly: Start time is 8 AM continuing overnight until the next day 6PM. Generally, that would be priced as 1 Night Boarding + 1 Day Care (8 AM start - 8 AM next day= 24 hour Nightly boarding rate and that next day 8 AM - 6 PM is additional Day Care) Since that is 10 hours of day care, another sitter may charge full Nightly Boarding rate instead (so 2 boarding 0 daycare).

I took a look at Marie's rates and she charges exactly the same for boarding and daycare: $20 each.

Thank you Deb for all the explanation!!!

You're welcome. The fact that your boarding & daycare are the same rate hopefully will make that easier too.

Personally, I am very flexible on drop off and pick up times. We often leave a day open between visits to catch up on cleaning, shampoo carpets, etc, so it doesn’t matter much. Plus, it is just to hectic to have dogs dropped off & picked up on the same day (we only do one family at a time)

I don’t want to micromanage by the hour- not worth my time. Sometimes we come out “ahead” if the stay is under 24 hours, sometimes “behind” if it is more. Since I rarely have dogs leave/arrive the same day, they can pick up as late as they want. Our reward is awesome reviews, return clients and tips
