Über: I grew up in the countryside of Brazil, spending much of my childhood on my family’s farm, surrounded by both domestic and wild animals, from monkeys and birds to cattle, farm dogs, and cats. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I’ve had a dog by my side for as long as I can remember. The one who stayed with us the longest was Batman, a gentle giant who lived to be 16 years old. Caring for him through his later years, including multiple surgeries and daily medications, taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and consistent care. Today, my family back home has three cats, so I’m also well-experienced in feline care. Whether it’s playful puppies, senior dogs with special needs, or affectionate cats, I provide responsible, loving, and attentive care to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy. I work remotely and have a pretty flexible schedule, so we can organize things according to your needs. I speak Portuguese, Spanish, English and Italian. When I’m at your place, I’ll take care of all your dog’s needs, feeding, walks, and playtime. If your dog needs medication, I can handle that too. I’ll always make sure they’re cared for with love and attention.

Über: I am a biologist and PhD researcher in Bern, originally from Guatemala. I have been around dogs my whole life, my family always have had dogs. My work is in forest ecology, so I spend a lot of time outdoors and I am happy to give a dog the long walks they actually need rather than a quick loop around the block. My schedule is flexible, so your dog will not be left alone all day. I am used to being attentive to animals and to noticing when something is off. Happy to meet beforehand so you and your dog can decide if it feels right. I speak English, and Spanish. I can send you daily pictures of your dog so you will feel as you never left. I speak Spanish and English I work Monday to Friday with a flexible schedule and I am home on Fridays, so I can adapt walks and feeding times to your dog’s routine. I live in a flat in Worblaufen in Bern, close to the river and a forest. The building has a lift, so senior dogs, large breeds and dogs with mobility issues have no trouble. Your dog gets its own comfortable resting place and comes with me on walks every day. I keep the flat dog safe: nothing toxic or chewable within reach, windows and balcony secured, and dogs stay on lead outside until I know their recall. I follow the routine you already use for food, walks and sleeping, since that is what helps a dog settle somewhere new. I work from home most days, so your dog will not be alone for long, and I send photos and a daily update. I am a biologist and notice quickly if something is off.

Über: I have a young cat that I’ve been taking care of since he was 6 months old. I’ve trained him to follow basic commands using positive reinforcement, and I take care of all his daily needs, including feeding, grooming, playing with him, cleaning his litter box, and monitoring his health. Through this experience, I’ve learned to understand cat behavior, recognize when something is unusual, and provide a safe, enriching, and stimulating environment. In addition, I cared for my two dogs from the time they were 3 months old until they reached old age. Looking after them taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting to each pet’s individual needs throughout every stage of life. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for other cats. I’m available all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m available in the late afternoon and evening. I’m happy to adapt to your cat’s routine to make sure they receive the care and attention they need. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your cat. During each visit, I will make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention and playtime, according to their needs. I will respect your home, carefully follow your instructions, and send regular updates and photos so you know your cat is happy and well cared for.

Über: He cuidado perros casi toda la vida (familia y amigos) Tengo experiencia con cualquier edad y tamaño, pudiendo también entrenar cosas básicas. Además, tengo experiencia con gatos, aves, caballos y algún tipo de roedor. Pero con instrucciones claras, puedo cuidar cualquier animal. Actualmente estoy cursando estudios de máster y puedo organizarme bastante bien para encajar a las mascotas. Depende de la semana puedo días/horas distintos, pero por lo general podría casi todos. Dado que estoy alquilando por mis estudios, no puedo alojar en casa, pero puedo desplazarme y acomodarme sin problema, siempre y cuando esté dentro de mi rango.

Wenn Sie es vorziehen, dass ich mich bei Ihnen zu Hause um Ihre Katze kümmere, ist das natürlich auch möglich! Ich kann sie füttern, mit ihr spielen, wenn sie Lust dazu hat, ihr Katzenklo reinigen und ihr Medikamente verabreichen. Ich passe mich leicht an den Charakter und die Bedürfnisse jeder Katze an, um ihnen einen möglichst angenehmen Aufenthalt oder Besuche zu bieten. Je vis dans un petit appartement sans balcon, au cœur de Berne. Il est plein de recoins confortables où votre chat pourra se reposer et se sentir en sécurité. Si vous préférez que je m’occupe de votre chat à votre domicile, c’est bien sûr possible ! Je peux lui donner à manger, jouer avec lui s’il en a envie, nettoyer sa litière et lui administrer ses médicaments. Je m’adapte facilement au caractère et aux besoins de chaque chat pour leur offrir un séjour ou des visites aussi agréables que possible.

Über: Schon als jüngeres Kind bin ich immer mit den Hunden meiner Nachbaren Gassi gegangen. Ich arbeite seit mehreren Jahren in einer Wohngruppe wo wir Hunde als Therapeutische zwecke haben. Da gehört es zu meinen Tätigkeit dazu, diese zu beschäftigen. Ausserdem habe ich in Schönbühl die RS gemacht und hatte auch dort regelmässig Kontakt mit Hunden Ich arbeite momentan 40-60%. Montags, Donnerstags und evt Freitags habe ich genügend Zeit für eine andere Beschäftigung. Zeitlich bin ich ebenfalls flexibel und stehe am morgen auch gerne mal auf. Leider habe ich keinen Garten und auch keine Hundebox. Ich kann zu Fuss oder mit dem öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel falls möglich mit dem Hund unterwegs sein.

Animals have been part of my work and my life for years, and pet sitting lets me spend time being around dogs and cats, outside the world of research. I understand every animal has their own personality, pace and routine, so I take time to learn what actually matters to your pet: their favourite walking spots, feeding schedule, play style, and quirks. Whether it's a quick home visit, a proper walk, or staying with them for the day, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away. I'm happy to respect dietary requirements or simply provide calm, attentive company to meet the individual needs of yout furry friend(s). Between my veterinary training and hands-on experience with animals, you can trust your pet is in capable, informed hands. I have experience as a dog and cat owner, as a sitter of friends' dogs and a lot more coming from my professional and academic background. You can trust your pet is in genuinely capable hands! What I offer: Home visits: I stay for 30 minutes as standard to keep your pet company - just let me know if you'd like me to stay longer. During the visit, my priorities are feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance for cats, company, and exercise. I always make time to play, so your pet stays active and stimulated even while you're away. I will not be just a quick check-in, so I'd love to learn about their favourite toys or games so I can join in properly. Dog walks: each walk usually lasts around 30 minutes - but will be happy to discuss a different length if your friend needs it. I'd love to hear about their favourite routes, parks, or spots, along with any preferences you can share. If they have a regular walking buddy, I'll do my best to work around that schedule so they don't miss out on their socialising time. My goal is always to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible and to pace it to your pet's energy level and habits. Day and overnight sitting: going for some holidays, business trip or some emergency and would like your pet to stay in their confortable and familiar environment? wether it's a full day or an overnight stay, I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible — same feeding times, same walks, same wind-down habits before bed. The goal is for your pet to feel like nothing much has changed, just with a new face keeping them company. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout, so you can relax knowing they're comfortable, safe, and well looked after. Medication administration: comfortable and experienced with this if your pet needs it. I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and some French, Very basic German, but hopefully will improve in the coming months. I do some kayaking and rowing trainings once a week and sometimes I might be outside of Bern, so it is just a matter of coordinating. I care for pets in their own home to keep their routine and environment consistent. I follow the owner's schedule for feeding, walks, and any medication, and send regular photo/video updates. My training in veterinary medicine also makes me aware of behavior and health changes. And, of course, I will treat the home with the same care I'd want for my own space :)
