“Myriam was amazing taking care of my cat! I got to enjoy my vacation knowing that my baby was taken care of. She has sent me pictures daily and even cut her nails 😍 Thank you so much Myriam for the attention and care you’ve given to my little girl Rita. I’ll certainly contact you again if I need to go away.”

About: Bonjour ! — Hello! Let me introduce myself — my name is Charlotte. I am a psychoeducation student, and animals are my greatest passion. I have always grown up surrounded by cats and dogs. Two years ago, I adopted my first dog, a Miniature American Shepherd. He was 9 weeks old when I brought him home, so I know how to train and care for a puppy. With him, I have taken a wide variety of training and fun activity classes. I also have a 5-month-old kitten. Through my job, I have also completed several training courses in animal care for both dogs and cats. As someone who is personally hesitant to leave my own animals with strangers, I completely understand the concerns some people may have. That is why I would first like to meet both you and your pets. I also make it a priority to carefully follow all the instructions and guidelines you provide. — I am a student, and most of my classes are online. Since I also work part-time in the animal care field, I have a lot of availability to take care of your furry babies. — I can take your pet outside for potty breaks. I can also take them for a walk if needed, while respecting your instructions and their usual routine. I am comfortable administering oral medication to both dogs and cats. I can also provide mental stimulation for your dog during my visits by practicing tricks they already know and working on self-control exercises. For longer absences, I can also water your plants and bring in your mail.

About: I’m a lifelong pet lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets. With dogs, my care includes taking them on walks, training basic commands, preparing special meals when needed, and engaging them in play to help them release energy. I always pay close attention to their reactions and body language, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I’ve also cared for animals with special needs, including diabetic cats, pets with kidney issues, and cats with FIV-FELV, giving them the patience, attention, and love they deserve. I work part-time and my schedule change every week but daily I'm disponible after 6 p.m. In general I don't spend long periods out of home, so I can give attention to the pets in all my free time ensuring they don't fell alone. I'd experience in taking care of friends cats and guinea pigs in their home - feeding them, changing the water, cleaning their space and making company. At my home, I actually live alone at an apartment where I can take care of (maximum) two cats. The windows have protections to guarantee their safety.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Québec
I had left my cat in Joanny's care for a weekend and it could not have gone smoothly. It was his first time being cared for by a sitter and from the photos that she shared with me, it was easy to see that my cat loved her! Joanny is reliable, took my cat's routine into account and delivered with the instructions that were given to her. I would definitely rebook her in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
