“I currently have a consistent dog sitter in Brampton, which is quite a far drive from Barrie. Unfortunately she was unavailable to watch my dog for a last minute trip. I signed up for Rover and looked through many profiles and Amanda’s seemed like the best fit. My dog had a quick meet and greet before my trip which went great. He didn’t want to leave. Fast forward to the dog sitting- Amanda watched him for 5 days. She sent over messages along with photos daily, which I really appreciated! I could tell my dog was having the best time. I will definitely be booking Amanda again! Very happy!”
About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life. They aren't just pets though, they are part of the family! We currently have a 2 year old black lab/boxer. I always want the best for my dog and I know you do too! I am currently retired and home all day every day! Your dogs will never be alone. In fact, I love taking them for walks through the forest and playing with them in the backyard! My dog has the run of the house and is allowed everywhere in the house and the backyard is entirely fenced in. They are allowed to go in and out on their own as much as they want to!

About: I was a dog owner for over thirteen years and had frequent interactions with different dogs over years. My doggy just recently passed away from cancer and I would love to have company of other dogs to help me through this difficult time. About: I have worked at farms and stables for a total of 8 years working with dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, horses , ponies, chickens, and bunnies. About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 12 years old and grew up surrounded by dogs my entire life. Over the years, I’ve also cared for a chameleon, hamster, and ferret, which gave me experience with a wide range of pet needs and personalities. I adopted my dog Maia 3 years ago, and she’s full of energy with a big personality, which has taught me a lot about active dogs, structure, and keeping playtime both fun and safe. I also adopted my cat when I was 20. She was very feisty, and no one else wanted to handle her, but I built a strong bond with her over time. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I always aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so every animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away❤️ Pet care is already a natural part of my daily life. I'm currently working remote so my schedule is fairly flexible. I’m also experienced with more specific care, including administering medication and injections when needed, so I’m comfortable adjusting routines based on each pet’s requirements. Overall, I’m very organized and flexible, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my everyday routine rather than it feeling like an extra task. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family and kept in a calm, safe, and structured environment. I have a fenced-in backyard where dogs can run, play, and get energy out safely, along with regular walks and supervised outdoor time. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special care instructions.
