“Our dogs had a wonderful stay with Donna and her family! Both Gus and Winnie are senior dogs (14 and 13) who have been going to the same kennel for 10 years. When our kennel had to cancel last minute we were at a loss as we had a 3 week trip coming up -over the Easter holiday - and no one to watch the dogs. This was our first Rover experience and I’m so glad it worked out! Gus and Winnie have never stayed with anyone else so we were really nervous. Donna was so great at making both dogs comfortable and communicating with us while we were away. Gus had some issues early on (we think due to stress) and Donna went out of her way to adjust her schedule and his surroundings so that he was comfortable. Winnie is your typical snuggly Pug and I could tell she was right at home by the photos sent of her snuggling on the couch and hanging out with Donna’s children. About: I have worked at farms and stables for a total of 8 years working with dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, horses , ponies, chickens, and bunnies. I am also currently studying animal care I am available all times of day as I also have a dog who loves walks, I take her daily, along with taking my friends dog for walks aswell! Taking care of pets is an important step in dog walking, I want to make sure the animals are as comfortable as possible. This includes giving them praise, treats, and rewarding good behaviour!

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life. They aren't just pets though, they are part of the family! We currently have a 2 year old black lab/boxer. I always want the best for my dog and I know you do too! I am currently retired and home all day every day! Your dogs will never be alone. In fact, I love taking them for walks through the forest and playing with them in the backyard! My dog has the run of the house and is allowed everywhere in the house and the backyard is entirely fenced in. They are allowed to go in and out on their own as much as they want to!
About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 12 years old and grew up surrounded by dogs my entire life. Over the years, I’ve also cared for a chameleon, hamster, and ferret, which gave me experience with a wide range of pet needs and personalities. I adopted my dog Maia 3 years ago, and she’s full of energy with a big personality, which has taught me a lot about active dogs, structure, and keeping playtime both fun and safe. I also adopted my cat when I was 20. She was very feisty, and no one else wanted to handle her, but I built a strong bond with her over time. We also went through a lot together, including managing her diabetes, so I’m very comfortable and experienced with giving medication and administering insulin injections when needed. I am petite and have walked dogs that are much heavier than me (a 160-180lbs Rottweiler, a 150lbs German Shepherd, a 115lbs Doberman, and a 115lbs Husky-Malinois mix). It can be a little uncomfortable if and when they pull but if they are well trained, I am able to control them and have a pleasant walk still. If you are adamant that your dog is great off-leash, I'd like to know how they react to other dogs and squirrels running by before taking that risk. There are only 6 dogs I have off-leash experience with (Husky-Belgian Malinois mix, American Bulldog, German Shepherd, St. Bernard mix, Portugese Waterdog, and Shitzhu) and they were fine, though there are some dogs I'd never imagine being able to be off-leash so please be honest with your dog's discipline level. I have taken care of, fed, and dog-sat a number of dogs too. If you want them to do commands or tricks before eating, I have experience doing that as well. I will give them lots of attention during their visits. I love to play with dogs, give them belly rubs, and brush them if they enjoy that. I have cat sit for 8 cats before, and even though I am a dog person, I love all animals. If you have a cat that needs to be fed, given attention, and playtime, I'm happy to be of service. I am currently working online part-time and so I have availability to dog sit and dog walk your pets during my off hours. I mostly have availability during mornings up until afternoons around 3pm. We have a big friendly dog here at home and a large fenced off backyard where your dogs can roam around and play. We will give them lots of love and attention during their stays with us.

About: Both Em and Jac have had dogs their entire lives. Dogs ranging from 5lbs to 100+lbs, and puppy all the way to 16 years old senior dog. Jac has experience training dogs, from basic commands and potty training all the way to reactivity and high prey drive. Em has experience with dogs with separation anxiety, as well she has volunteered with the SPCA shelter. Both Em and Jac have a medical background so dogs with special care needs like medications through injections are not a problem! Jac has also lived and worked on horse farms, helping with grooming, birthing, etc, so a lot of experience around animals! We both work shift work, however we are currently offset. Most days one of us will be home majority of the day, and a few days a month which we overlap night shifts where the dog would be left home alone for 6+hrs (from 4:45pm-1am). These days where we’re both on nights can be discussed beforehand to work something out if your dog requires to be let out more frequently. We have a 50acre property, with a 600m long driveway fenced at the bottom. Private walking trails through the back. A custom built agility course if that’s what your furry friend is into, and we’re constantly adding new obstacles to. There’s a pond if your dog is a swimmer, but plenty of dry ground if they aren’t. We have a room in the house that we keep the dogs in that’s nice and quiet for them, alternatively we have a barn (no livestock, just a rec space) that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter with kennels set up in.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better family to take care of my 10 year old Goldendoodle, Ginger! Anne and Andrew were amazing with caring for her while I was overseas for two months! Anne kept me in the loop with tons of updates and pictures. You could tell Ginger really grew attached to them, and she seemed so comfortable and happy there. She was spoiled and allowed up on the couch and even cuddled up in their bed! They also have an older Goldendoodle who’s the sweetest, and they got along so well.
