“Laura was very friendly and easy to deal with. She sent some pictures showing Buddy playing with her dogs. She was flexible with the pick up time as we were running a bit late. Buddy came home happy and tired which is just how we like it😄”

“Cynthia is a great host for the dogs. Such a caring woman. I look forward to next time I have to leave Gerald. It’s so nice to not have to worry about his care and happiness while being looked after. Thank you Cynthia”

“Pam was wonderful with Kalie; I highly recommend her. She kept in contact throughout her stay and sent many pictures of Kalie which put my mind at ease. Kalie takes daily meds and when she would take her pills in the morning Pam was able to pill her iwhich was a great relief. Not to mention that she left the house super clean — which I completely appreciate. Thanks Pam!”

About: Hi there, My name is Natalie and I live with my partner Jesse, our 12 year old pug Bernie and our 4 year old Terrier mix, Lucy. We are huge dog lovers and often spend our weekends going for long walks and volunteering for a local animal rescue. We would treat your pet like our own while they are in our care. Please note we require a meet and greet first before agreeing to take care of your dog. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to hear from you! Natalie Every day we make sure our two dogs are cared for and happy. Our joy and purpose comes from seeing them living their best lives. Safety and lost dog prevention always comes first. It is so important that a dog is secure and never given the opportunity to be in harms way.
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve had them since I was young and have spent the last 12 years caring for others’ pets as well. I recently lost my beloved French Bulldog, who required a lot of dedicated care, so I truly understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and at ease. Because I’m completing my Master’s degree from home, I have a flexible and adaptable schedule. This allows me to be available during the day for walks, feedings, and ongoing supervision, ensuring pets receive consistent, attentive care rather than being left alone for long periods. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I know how important routine and a calm environment are, so I do my best to keep things consistent with what they’re used to—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or just how they like to relax. I’m very mindful about safety in the home and always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable. I also keep communication open so you always know how your pet is doing. These things were so important to me with my own dog.
About: Think of this as a boutique, in-home pet boarding retreat — not a kennel. With 30+ years of hands-on experience raising, hosting, and loving just about every creature imaginable — cats, dogs, fowl, rabbits, rodents, and even tortoises (yes, really) — your pet will be in wildly capable hands. Puppies who need gentle training? Seniors who need extra patience and TLC? Shy pets, quirky pets, “my pet is kind of weird” pets? I’ve met them all and adore them deeply. Our home is designed for calm, gentle pet care, nestled on a peaceful 100-acre forest property (freija.ca), which means plenty of fresh air, enrichment, and stress-free vibes. No kids, no chaos — just a quiet, loving environment where animals can actually relax. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet is never left wondering where the humans went. Someone is always around for companionship, playtime, belly rubs, or just existing together (a highly underrated skill). And then there’s Honey, our resident adventure cat and official Welcome Committee. He absolutely loves meeting visiting pets and brings big “friendly camp counsellor” energy to every introduction. If you’re looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family, understands animals on a deep level, and can handle everything from puppy zoomies to senior snoozes — you just found your place. 🐾💚 My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet gets constant supervision, companionship, and engagement — ideal for puppies needing routine, senior dogs who require extra care, and pets who don’t do well being left alone. There are no children in the home, just experienced adults who speak fluent “animal.” Our home is set up specifically for gentle, low-stress pet sitting, tucked away on a quiet 100-acre forest property (freija.ca). It’s perfect for dogs who love sniffing adventures, cats who enjoy calm observation posts, and pets who thrive in a peaceful environment. No crates by default, no overcrowding, and absolutely no chaos. If you’re looking for reliable, experienced, in-home pet boarding where your pet is treated like family (and maybe a little spoiled), you’ve found it. Your pet brings the personality — we’ve already got the love, patience, and forest vibes covered.
About: My name is Rae and I am an absolute dog lover! I will take extra special care of your furry friend and treat them like they are family. I am a Registered Nurse and have many days off when not working so your dog(s) will have all of my attention! For days that I am working I live with my boyfriend who is a fellow dog lover. I have had dogs since I was born (mostly black labs) and have much experience with training. I am very active and love to be outdoors so I am happy to tire your dog out or just snuggle on the couch. I live in a detached home with a large fenced in backyard with trails and dog parks within walking distance. I would love to be their home away from home :) I work shift work so I have five days off at a time. During those days I am fully available and will be home all day. I have a fenced in back yard and a lab mix (Sunny) who is very friendly and loves to play! He loves all other dogs and would very happy to share his home.
About: I’ve taken care of animals all my life, growing up with dogs and cats. I’ve watched friends and neighbours animals, as well as worked in a shelter and volunteering. I am working part time, so I will have more than enough time to play and spoil your animal. I am off every weekend as well as every Tuesday. I have a fully fenced in yard and three very friendly small (under 10lbs) dogs. I do have the option to keep separate if needed, and have crates if needed.

“We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Aletta while we were out of town. Easy communication, friendly, flexible. No concerns. Our dog would definitely stay with Aletta again.”

“I had my dog stay and their place for 5 nights and he had an amazing time. I received so many photo and video updates. They treated him like he was part of the family and came back just as happy as when I left him. They were so kind and very flexible when needed. They kept him very active and really kept an eye on him. Their dog Teeter was so high energy and such a good companion for my pup. I would recommend them to anyone!”

“I boarded my dog with Karen, and she was amazing :) Coco was so spoiled, and bonded with her dog which was so nice. She was so lovely, and Coco had a great time roaming around the fantastic yard :) I highly recommend!! I will definitely use her again!”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 8 years old. We always had big dogs in the house, many cats, and caged rodents. I currently care for my cat and flock of 14 chickens and turkey. I work at a stable part time with goats, sheep, and horses, and regularly take my family’s dogs overnight when they are in need. I love animals and genuinely care to make sure they are entertained, healthy, and living their best life. I currently work from home as a self-employed artist. This allows me the flexibility to step out for walks, pee breaks, or to be flexible with scheduling pickups/drop off. I live right next to a rail trail, and there is a large park nearby for play. I also frequent the conservation area so taking pups on a ‘field trip’ will definitely be part of an overnight stay.
About: I’m patient, reliable, and very attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies/kittens and senior pets, and I always follow routines closely to help pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I am currently doing pet care full-time, so I have plenty of time to play, walk and look after your loved ones! I am available any day during the week! For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their routine consistent. During drop-ins, I handle feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. On walks, I make sure dogs get safe, engaging exercise at their own pace. I’m attentive to each pet’s behavior and comfort level, and I always double check doors, leashes, and surroundings for safety. I also provide updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for! :)

I have two friendly dogs who will keep your best friend company. My lab is nearly 11 and she doesn’t play as much as my husky mix who is just over a year and is very playful! If needed I do have an extra crate as well!

“Amanda and family are a fantastic place for your dog sitting needs. Shorty loves all the attention and he gets in some great walks! I totally recommend Amanda. She is dog experienced and takes great care of her furry visitors.”

“Natalie was amazing with Casper! She took such great care of him and kept me updated throughout the day with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. She took him on walks, made sure he was fed, spent lots of time playing with him, and even let him cool off in a kiddie pool and took him to the bay. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure he was comfortable and having a fun day. I would absolutely trust Natalie with Casper again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter or walker. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of my boy! 🐾”

“Today was my first time using Rover and Laura was helpful and she and her kids took great care of my boy. I will definitely utilize her services again and look forward to my Jake playing with all her babies, fur and human.”

“Lindsay was awesome! She took good care of June, and June got along famously with her dog Ty! She provided pictures throughout the day and kept me posted on how June was doing. Will use her again and again! Thank you Lindsay 😊”

“So amazing! My dog isn't good with other dogs so they went above and beyond to make sure he had a comfortable space to himself and he came home super happy. This was my first rover experience so I was nervous. Turned out to be awesome”
