About: Think of this as a boutique, in-home pet boarding retreat — not a kennel. With 30+ years of hands-on experience raising, hosting, and loving just about every creature imaginable — cats, dogs, fowl, rabbits, rodents, and even tortoises (yes, really) — your pet will be in wildly capable hands. Puppies who need gentle training? Seniors who need extra patience and TLC? Shy pets, quirky pets, “my pet is kind of weird” pets? I’ve met them all and adore them deeply. Our home is designed for calm, gentle pet care, nestled on a peaceful 100-acre forest property (freija.ca), which means plenty of fresh air, enrichment, and stress-free vibes. No kids, no chaos — just a quiet, loving environment where animals can actually relax. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet is never left wondering where the humans went. Someone is always around for companionship, playtime, belly rubs, or just existing together (a highly underrated skill). And then there’s Honey, our resident adventure cat and official Welcome Committee. He absolutely loves meeting visiting pets and brings big “friendly camp counsellor” energy to every introduction. If you’re looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family, understands animals on a deep level, and can handle everything from puppy zoomies to senior snoozes — you just found your place. 🐾💚 My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet gets constant supervision, companionship, and engagement — ideal for puppies needing routine, senior dogs who require extra care, and pets who don’t do well being left alone. There are no children in the home, just experienced adults who speak fluent “animal.” Our home is set up specifically for gentle, low-stress pet sitting, tucked away on a quiet 100-acre forest property (freija.ca). It’s perfect for dogs who love sniffing adventures, cats who enjoy calm observation posts, and pets who thrive in a peaceful environment. No crates by default, no overcrowding, and absolutely no chaos. If you’re looking for reliable, experienced, in-home pet boarding where your pet is treated like family (and maybe a little spoiled), you’ve found it. Your pet brings the personality — we’ve already got the love, patience, and forest vibes covered.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve had them since I was young and have spent the last 12 years caring for others’ pets as well. I’m very mindful about safety in the home and always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable. I also keep communication open so you always know how your pet is doing. These things were so important to me with my own dog.

About: I absolutely love cats and have hands-on experience living with and caring for a young kitten! I understand how important playtime, fresh water, and a perfectly clean litter box are to keeping a cat happy. Whether your cat loves chasing laser pointers or prefers to have their own space while I check on their food, I am excited to give them the exact care and company they need while you are away.

About: I have experience caring for indoor cats, outdoor cats, barn cats and hairless/Sphynx cats, as well as cats who need medication or extra support. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions for feeding, litter boxes, medications, routines, indoor/outdoor access and each cat’s individual personality. I know cats can be particular about their space, schedule and people, so I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and low stress as possible. Whether a cat is social, shy, independent, senior, high-energy, or needs a little extra patience, my goal is to help them feel safe and settled while they're in my care. I also offer a complimentary meet-and-greet before the first booking so I can get to know your cat, their routine, their care needs and any other important details ahead of time.

About: I have experience caring for cats of all personalities, from playful kittens to senior or shy cats. I respect each cat’s individual needs and routines, ensuring a calm, safe, and stress-free environment. I am comfortable administering medications, maintaining clean litter areas, feeding on schedule, and providing gentle companionship to build trust. I focus on creating a peaceful home where cats feel secure and loved while their owners are away. What sets me apart is my patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals. I naturally form a bond with cats—they often love me right away, and I feel a genuine connection, treating each one as if they were my own. “Amanda and family are a fantastic place for your dog sitting needs. Shorty loves all the attention and he gets in some great walks! I totally recommend Amanda. She is dog experienced and takes great care of her furry visitors.”

“Shorty had a wonderful day with Jesse, Natalie and Lucy. They have a great fenced in yard for the pups to sniff and play (Shorty and Lucy are still playing it cool but I think soon they will be romping buddies). Shorty loves affection and he was certainly spoiled here. They also went above and beyond, giving Shorty a little butt wash before I picked him up! I 100% recommend this household for your dog's care. They are lovely people, very dog experienced and of course they LOVE dogs!”

“Our dogs first ever visit with a daycare. We were worried he would stress out. Lisa had the magic touch and Fionn didn’t even know we were gone. Wonderful family and we would leave him with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks”

About: Hi, I’m Ella! I have 5 years of hands-on pet care experience ranging from small, fluffy companions to large, energetic dogs and gentle seniors.I am the proud owner of a 3-year-old Maltipoo, so I am very comfortable with daily routines like feeding, walking, regular brushing, bathing, and even teeth cleaning! Recently, I’ve also looked after a diverse pack of three dogs together—including two large 4-year-old brothers and a sweet 10-year-old senior. This taught me how to balance different energy levels and make sure every dog gets the exact care, exercise, and attention they need. I am fully available all day on weekends and during weekday evenings (after 5:00 PM / 8:00 PM). I have reliable transportation during these hours, making me the perfect fit for your weekend trips, dinner-time feedings, or late-night check-ins! My Personal Pet Care Philosophy:I provide comprehensive, attentive care tailored to each pet's unique routine. For my own companion, this includes structured 30-minute daily walks, engaging indoor games for mental stimulation, regular feeding schedules, and essential hygiene maintenance like bathing and oral care. Above all, I prioritize deep companionship and plenty of affection so pets always feel safe and loved. My Approach to Client Care:When managing multiple pets, I excel at diversifying my attention to meet every animal's individual personality and age-related needs. I actively engage and burn off energy with high-strung dogs, provide a calm and reassuring presence for relaxed pets, and deliver the gentle, patient care required for seniors. No matter the pack dynamic, I ensure every pet receives their proper meals, routine care, and focused individual attention.
“Jennifer was great! Our puppy was so well cared for. Communication was excellent, with lots of updates through the day, and we felt totally at ease knowing our dog was in good hands. Highly recommend!”
