About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and other animals. I am a self-taught dog groomer and currently work at a dog daycare, where I care for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. My responsibilities include supervising the dogs, feeding and providing fresh water, cleaning up after them, and making sure they are comfortable, safe and well cared for. I have also grown up around animals and currently live in a home with dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always been a big part of my life. When I’m home, I’m available for walks, feeding, playtime and lots of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to adjust my routine as much as possible to match what your pet is used to at home. We live out in the country with a large fenced yard, providing plenty of space for dogs to enjoy the outdoors. We take our dogs for daily walks and are happy to include visiting dogs in our routine. Whether in our home or yours, I follow your pet’s feeding, walking and care instructions and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise and affection.

While he he would not be attending your home with me, I like to let people know that our entire household loves animals. I have dealt with almost every medical condition imaginable. From diabetic cats, to ones in kidney failure requiring daily IV fluids, giving various medications, cats with behavioral issues, and everything in between. Our oldest cat (a Manx) lived to 19.5 years old. Not a stranger to keeping litterboxes in tip top shape. Also extremely keen on various types of enrichment to keep them from getting bored. I have extensive experience in administering medications, IV fluids, intramuscular injections, eye drops, nail trims, and more. I have had 2 blind dogs (one of which had both of her eyes removed due to glaucoma), so am very familiar with their sometimes unique challenges. My husky is 2 years old and we’re always out for walks, playing at the park and training. I am always mindful of space, mood and boundaries when interacting with any animal I am caring for. I have been a pet sitter for the past 7 years because I love meeting new animals and genuinely enjoy being around & caring for them. I would love to meet you and your pet (even though they really are family)! I am available for pet sitting and drop visits. I have a flexible schedule at the moment and am able to accommodate outside of already booked times I am always mindful of gates and fences / doors when letting animals outside. Making sure that doors and gates are closed as well as any escape holes covered. I am checking on the animals periodically throughout the day. I typically crate my large dog at bed time and let the two little ones sleep in bed with me.
