About: I've had pets my whole life. Cats all along the way and dogs for the past ten years. I've worked with many groomers and trainers along the way and take pride in treating all of them with the respect and care they deserve. I work from home so I am readily available for anything your pets may need. My schedule is very flexible and adaptable to keep the routine as similar to what your pet is used to at home. I've got enough space both inside and out to accommodate various needs. Lots of time for walks and play. Lots of love to give by myself, my daughter and a resident old man kitty who is very used to animal friends.

We loved having Kyra help us by walking Leo while we were away. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and handled Leo safely and confidently. She communicated with us every day and sent pictures, which gave us great peace of mind and kept us updated on how he was doing. Leo clearly loved her and responded very well to her, which says a lot about her natural connection with dogs and her passion for caring for them. We would absolutely recommend Kyra to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and attentive to care for their companion, and we will definitely be using her services again.

About: My goal for when taking care of others animals is to make sure they’re comfortable and feel like they’re part of the family while their family is away. I’ve been surrounded by dogs and animals my entire life. Ive had many dogs as well and trained them myself. I’m now a certified trainer as I love the challenge it brings. If there is another animal such as, bunnies, rats, lizards, ferrets, etc… I’ve taken care of them all and more! Provide me with the info as to what animal needs to be cared for and I’m sure I can take them in. ***( All animals I have at home are use to different types of animals. You can rest easy knowing they will not be bothered by my animals if they’re not use to them)*** Je parle aussi français For the most part I’m at home Monday through Sunday. Friday, Saturday & Sunday I’m out for three hours in the morning working. Potty breaks are always available:) I have a puppy and a cat. Treats and love are always available. If there are any food allergies I’m use to this, it’s not a problem. If they need a bath I’m happy to do so ☺️ I make homemade treats but I always ask when I meet with you if they can have them.

Patiente et fiable, je veille à leur sécurité, à leur routine et à leur confort, tout en leur offrant mon affection et ma présence. I will treat them as if they were my own! :) From running around the property to chilling on the couch, our animals are our children and we love them very dearly.

There are 502 sitters on Rover for Dog Walking in Lachute. About 81% of Lachute sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Lachute. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities in Canada require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance travelled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Lachute.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits, dog walking, and doggy day care. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find walkers in Lachute with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lachute choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 85% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
