Vanessa took such good care of our boy! They shares mealtimes, snacks! And treated him like one of her own pack. Many photo updates as well as messages letting us know how he was doing. She is caring and I would recommend her 100%! I am and will continue to entrust her with my boy

Emily & Nicholas were amazing, they took care of our Luna like it was theirs. Our dog had so much fun! Took her to the park daily, gave her lots of cuddles and even let her on the couch & bed. They really know how to make your dog feel comfortable. Thank you so much Emily & Nicholas we won’t hesitate to book with you again 😊

Ágata was really good since we met. Very receptive to the way we asked her to do Snoopy's routines in feeding, etc. Very nice to talk to and very friendly with Snoopy. She kept us updated all the time, sending us pictures of walks, etc. and in general comments on how Snoopy was doing. And always quick to reply to messages in a very kind and friendly way. Very positive experience

Tania did a great job looking after our two dogs. She was reliable, professional, and flexible—especially when we had a last-minute emergency and needed to extend their stay by an extra night. We really appreciated her willingness to accommodate us on short notice. The dogs were well cared for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

About: Hi! My name is Véronique, and I’m a true animal lover. I have two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet while you’re away. I work primarily from home, which allows me to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and individualized care throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I live in a quiet home in Saint-Lazare, surrounded by great walking trails and green spaces. To ensure every pet receives the attention they deserve, I only care for a small number of animals at a time. You’ll receive regular updates and photos during your pet’s stay, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in caring hands. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for as if they were part of my own family. ******* Bonjour!

Loretta was so kind and easy to deal with. Attentive and responsive. Our pup is a higher maintenance “pandemic dog” and Loretta was able to understand her needs and accommodate. We are so appreciative of her intuitive skills and experience. An amazing experience.

Although Keery's service was a tad bit expensive, she was very kind and cared very well for Yujo. He came back very happy and tired (in a good way) from his stay and did not show any signs of anxiety like he did when he came back from his previous babysitter. I'm sure he enjoyed his play in Keery's backyard. We also appreciated how Keery sent multiple pictures every day of Yujo and made sure we knew how he was doing. This service was worth the money!

About: Being a mom to my border collie/aussie shepherd for almost 5 years showed me how pure a pet’s love is, and it made me want to look for more opportunities to spend time with pets. I currently volunteer at Penny Lane Animal Sanctuary, where I help take care of animals that come from situations of abuse and neglect. It is hard, rewarding work and I get to spend some time with cows, goats, sheep’s (and more!) while I am at it. I love taking care of animals and getting to know their quirks and unique personality. With a pretty high-energy dog that requires long walks, lots of exercise and mental stimulation, I can help you taking care of your pet, if you are struggling to find the time or the energy, or if you are going on vacation. I am available for walks, drop ins, house sitting, boarding or daycare. Send me a note if you’d like to schedule a meet and greet! 🐶 My schedule is pretty flexible. Whether it’s during the weekend, in the afternoon, evening, or a lunch drop in, my schedule is flexible enough to accommodate that. If you have an emergency event and need to leave the house, I can make myself available!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
