About: Hi! My name is Amy and I have been a pet parent to my wonderful border collie Finley for the last 7 years. Fin was socialized with kittens, cats as well as small dogs from 8 weeks old so he is very friendly and comfortable with a variety of furry friends! I also have experience raising rabbits, budgies, cats, hermit crabs, a tortoise and of course, dogs! I love animals and because I work from home, I am able to provide a consistent presence and give lots of pets and cuddles! Because of my own dog, I am also on a super consistent routine! Need to pee? No problem! While I do not have a fenced backyard, I take my own dog on 2-3 walks a day and a trip to the local dog park. I know how difficult it can be plan travel or be away from your pets and I would love to give you the extra peace of mind. I work remotely and primarily asychonously. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule to support. I leave the house for 2-4 hours for errands or outings with friends. I can send as many photos and updates as you need to feel comfortable and assured that your furry kiddo is in good hands! My day with my dog starts at around 7/7:30. I go for a 30-40 minute walk around local trails. He gets food & water and goes for a nap or brings a toy for me to throw for a bit. At around 1:30 I go for another 15-20 minute walk or the dog park depending on the weather. Around 5-7 (depending on my remote work schedule) I have our final outing which is either the dog park if I didn't go in the afternoon or a 30 minute walk. My own dog gets his teeth brushed every 3-4 days and his ears cleaned every 2 weeks. He also takes a preventative medication monthly. Fin is crate trained for when I briefly leave the house and relaxing music plays. The rest of the day he is free to roam and often sleeps in his crate by choice.

About: I have always loved dogs. As an adult I've had two Labradors that I raised on my own since they were 8 weeks old. They have since passed, and both lived until 11-13 yrs old. I loved spending as much of my time with them. I try to spend as much time outside, going for walks or drives and checking out the sights and smells, throwing a ball around, etc. One of my dogs had to have knee surgery (TPLO) on both knees, so I do have lots of experience with nursing a dog's health and their rehab. Your dog can have free roam of the house and yard with regular check-ins. Even though I work from home, it would be ideal to have more than a couple of days notice prior to your desired booking dates. About: I walk daily and will offer your dog lots of outdoor walks - on or off leash. They will get lots of love and snuggles too. I have been caring for animals all my life but have focused mostly on dogs the past 25 years. I have spent years with street dogs in Mexico and doing spay and neuter clinics. I have 2 of my own dogs that came from Mexico and have found homes for many more. I have a strong passion and love for dogs and can guarantee your dog will receive lots of love and care while with me. Currently I am working part time casual for the school board so have all day with your dog unless I get called in. I go for a minimum of an hour walk usually in the river valley once a day and then a couple leash walks in the neighbourhood morning and evening. I have 2 very friendly dogs - one is a senior 9 years old and the other is 3 years old which can keep your dog company. I don’t crate my dogs but can offer that if you wish. I will offer your dog a home away from home.
