Pet care experience
I have owned dogs throughout my life, mostly all recues, so I've experienced all ranges of dog life from puppyhood to senior years. I limit the SIZES of dogs I care for to SMALL and MEDIUM-SMALL up to about 25 pounds in order to have the playing field level with my chill Chihuahua, Nacho. I board only one dog at a time and I accept daycare one dog at a time. So at any given time Nacho might have 2 small dogs to play with, although there's usually only one. On occasion there might be a dropoff or pickup by 2 different clients overlapping hours. MINIMUM AGES: No puppies please, though when they're about 2 years old they may have settled down enough for my very chill Nacho.

I am overjoyed to have found Lynne and Tony to care for our little Stella girl. Their home is a perfect fit for Stella and they truly care about her. Stella is a laid back little, human-focused dog who gets overwhelmed by large, loud, active dogs which are often present at other Rover homes. Lynne only takes one dog at a time in addition to her own little, laid back Nacho. I didn’t have to worry that Stella was feeling stressed while we were gone. She is also a picky, inconsistent eater and Lynne tried different things to get Stella to eat regularly. When we returned, Lynne even had a great tip for me to use with Stella that I had never tried before. I can’t recommend Lynne and Tony highly enough!
We are so grateful to Lynne who took such great care of our dog while we were out on vacation. She made us feel greatly at ease and it seemed like our dog had a great time with Lynne and Nacho. It was very reassuring to get photos and updates on how things were going, and we will absolutely plan to use Lynne again!
We felt so safe and secure leaving our small chi-mix Ginger with Lynne for a long weekend. She took the time to learn about Ginger's schedule and personality, and sent timely updates, and was so sensitive when Ginger experienced a bout of separation anxiety. Lynne's dog Nacho is also super gentle boy and was a great companion to Ginger! Thanks Lynne!
Lynne has been very patient with my anxiety ridden, skittish dog. I appreciate the love she has shown to her.

I am retired so my schedule is flexible but I am at home most of the time. In general I don't leave dogs I'm caring for alone - there is always a supervising adult here unless prior arrangements are made with the owner's knowledge. And I don't kennel dogs unless by client request, or if there's a technician or repairman going in and out for a brief period of time. I have a secure storm door for added security at drop-off and pick-up times. My yard is fenced and gates padlocked securely, and plenty of grass to roll around and sniff everywhere (see photo gallery picture showing backyard size and condition.) Pets are supervised when outdoors, though there might be times I check up every few minutes from the bank of windows surrounding the yard. I usually walk dogs at least once a day, or twice weather permitting. Indoors, dogs are on the main floor and are allowed on furniture. A 12" x 8" dog door for small to medium-small dogs leads to the patio and backyard.

If your dog barks INCESSANTLY it would not work for us to care for it because my son works from home and can't have that noise in the background when he's online with other professionals. Occasional barking is fine, like when the Amazon truck pulls up, but the dog must quite down when hushed. Most important for NEW CLIENTS is to have sufficient advance notice for a Meet & Greet before a proposal is booked. Ideally for boarding there would be at least two weeks notice, though less advance notice will be considered. For a REPEAT CLIENT, little advance notice is needed because obviously I know the dog and the owner and what to expect. Dogs should be house-trained and up-to-date on vaccinations. Inform me of any dog health or behavior issues I need to be aware of; special things they love and any thing about them I should know to make their stay as successful as possible.
A typical day
Toys, balls, tug-of-war, oh my! We'll play fetch, frisbee and zoomies outside weather-permitting and indoor play antics for stimulation and/or belly-rubs, backrubs and neckrubs ...all between naps and snacks of course!

SCHEDULE, HOURS, SPECIAL OFFERS: Dog owners new to me are eligible for $20 off their first booking. In addition, if the first booking request is received (at least 5 days in advance for daycare or ten days in advance for boarding) your dog may have 2 separate Courtesy Visits for either daycare and/or an overnight board). This is to encourage strong and positive pet-bonding PRIOR to the initial booking. For those needing just a half day or less of DAYCARE (up to 4.5 hours) a flat fee of $20 is charged for regular days and $25 for holidays. I go by Rover's service page which defines daycare as 8-9 hours: dropping off, for example, between 8-10 a.m. and picking up about 8-9 hours later.
